ECCC to Offer “From Practice to Possibility” AI Course for Educators

June 9, 2026

East Central Community College is helping educators discover practical and purposeful ways to use artificial intelligence in the classroom through a four-week, fully online professional learning experience titled From Practice to Possibility: AI as a Teaching Partner, scheduled July 7-30.

The course is designed for educators who want to use AI to work smarter, personalize learning, support students, and integrate emerging technologies with confidence and purpose.

Throughout the course, participants will explore practical AI strategies to help reclaim time, differentiate and personalize instruction, teach students responsible AI use, and use educator-friendly AI tools and prompts. Participants will leave the course with a ready-to-implement AI enhancement plan for their own classroom or educational setting.

Participants may earn three hours of college credit at no cost or three Continuing Education Units for a $20 fee.

The goal of the course is not to teach less, but to help educators make more room for what matters most: meaningful instruction, student support, and responsible use of emerging technology.

Registration is now open at www.eccc.edu. Interested participants should submit a Summer 2026 application as a non-degree-seeking student and provide their most recent transcript.

Participants should notify Taylor Harrison at tharrison@eccc.edu upon successful completion of the application.
