ECCC Offering AI-Focused Professional Development Course for Educators

February 25, 2026

East Central Community College is helping educators move from uncertainty to confidence in today’s AI-influenced classrooms with a new professional development course, From Panic to Practice, scheduled March 16 through April 13.

The four-week, fully online learning experience is designed specifically for educators seeking practical strategies to rethink and redesign authentic, rigorous, and meaningful assessments in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence tools.

Participants may earn three hours of college credit at no cost or three Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for a $20 fee.

The course focuses on equipping teachers with actionable tools to ensure student learning remains strong, relevant, and integrity-driven in AI-enhanced learning environments. Rather than reacting to emerging technology with concern, the course emphasizes thoughtful implementation and practical classroom application.

Registration is now open at www.eccc.edu/apply. Interested participants should submit a Spring 2026 application as a non-degree-seeking student and provide their most recent transcript.
