The East Central Lady Warriors dropped two games to the No. 6 Co-Lin Lady Wolves on Thursday night, April 1, 7-1 and 6-2. The losses drop ECCC 6-20 on the year and improve Co-Lin to 21-3. 

Game One | L, 7-1

Co-Lin took an early lead over the Lady Warriors in the opener as a run scored in both the first and second innings, giving the Lady Wolves a 2-0 lead. East Central cut that lead in half with just one swing in the fourth as Zharia Richardson (Gulfport) cranked a solo homer.

The Lady Wolves ran away with the game over the last three frames with one, three, and one runs over that stretch, while ECCC picked up one more hit in the game. 

Cera Blanchard got the complete-game victory for Co-Lin as she surrendered one run on two hits over the seven innings, striking out five. Braelyn Boykin (Mize) took the loss for East Central in the circle. She went seven innings, allowing seven runs on 11 hits and striking out four. Richardson's homer led ECCC at the plate. 

Game Two | L, 6-2

The nightcap was won off two big frames from the Lady Wolves as the visiting team plated three runs in the third and three more in the seventh. The Lady Warriors refused to tap out as the team drove in their two runs in the bottom of the seventh. 

The Lady Warriors' runs came from back-to-back RBI singles from Katelynn Gipson (Decatur) and Richardson in that final frame. 

Bella Luckey threw all seven innings for Co-Lin and got the win as she allowed two runs on eight hits and struck out seven.

Gracey Baucom took the loss for ECCC The right-hander went the distance, allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out six.

Lizzy Hollingsworth (Decatur) and Marry Moore Widemire (Hattiesburg) led ECCC in batting with two hits each, while Richardson and Gipson's RBIs led the team.
