Gage Leifried of Meridian and Mackenzie Gray of Mendenhall were selected Mr. and Miss East Central Community College for the 2016-17 school year by a recent vote of the student body.
A sophomore special education major, Gray is a member of the Centralettes dance line, Concert Choir, Encore Players, Baptist Student Union praise team, Warrior Corps, Diamond Darlings, Dunkin' Darlings, College Republicans, and President’s Council. She serves as president of the Residence Hall Council and was selected a sophomore Homecoming maid.
A graduate of Mendenhall High School, she is the daughter of Tim and Donna Gray of Mendenhall.
A sophomore engineering major, Leifried serves as vice president of leadership for Phi Theta Kappa and a leader for the Baptist Student Union praise team. He is a member of Phi Beta Lambda, Encore Players, Concert Choir and the men’s soccer team. He is a President’s and Dean’s List scholar, and received the freshman engineering award, Scholar Athlete Award, Hustle Award for men’s soccer and NJCAA Pinnacle Award for Excellence.
A graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School, he is the son of Rod and Traci Leifried of Meridian.
