The East Central Community College men's tennis team fell to 2-4 overall and to 1-4 in MACCC late last week with a 7-2 loss to the Hinds Community College Eagles in Raymond on Friday, February 18. ECCC is slated to return to the court this Tuesday, February 22, with a match against Itawamba, but the weather could affect the match time.
"We got beat on every doubles court and that set the tone for the match," said ECCC head coach Jay Pacelli. "We look to turn our fortunes around this week."
The 3-0 sweep in doubles play did not bode well for ECCC heading into singles action, but Dominik Simunovic and Orren Ladner overcame the adversity and picked up a pair of wins on the singles courts.
