Forward Macey Spencer and defender Hayden Sullivan, two freshman members of the East Central Community College women’s soccer team, have earned postseason recognition for their play during the recently completed 2018 season.
Spencer, who prepped at Florence High School, was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region 23 Team. She led the Lady Warriors with eight goals and five assists, including three-game winning scores, while starting all 16 matches.
Sullivan, who also prepped at Florence High School, was named to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-State Team. She had two assists on the season while anchoring the Lady Warriors’ defensive efforts.
The former high school teammates will be honored at the ECCC Fall Sports Awards Banquet later this month.
