Warrior of the Week for September 5, 2022, is Warrior freshman, Tavion Evans. Evans got the Warrior faithful on their feet in Clarksdale last Thursday as the freshman returned a Tiger kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter of play to push the Warrior lead to 20-3. The touchdown return is the first for the Warriors since Desmond Williams, now a defensive back at the University of Tennessee and NJCAA All-American, took on 95 yards for a score against Southwest in 2020. ECCC ultimately lost the contest with Coahoma, 52-28.
