The Warrior football team capped off an event-packed 2016 Homecoming Saturday, Oct. 15, with a 45-14 MACJC South Division win over the Hinds Community College Eagles. With the win, East Central moved to 4-3 overall on the year and remained in first place in the South with a 4-1 division record. The Warriors got three touchdown passes from sophomore quarterback Dom Marino in the first quarter and a pair of first half scoring runs from freshman running back Dwayne Barnett to lead 35-0 at the intermission. The sophomore Warrior players were recognized during pre-game ceremonies, and Latesia Davis of Decatur was crowned the Homecoming Queen at halftime. East Central is back in action again Thursday, Oct. 20, when they travel to Senatobia to take on defending national champion Northwest Mississippi Community College.
