East Central Community College proudly crowned Allison Knight, a graduate of Lawrence County High School, as the 2025 Homecoming Queen during halftime ceremonies of the Warriors’ Homecoming football game against Hinds on Thursday, September 25, in Bailey Stadium.
Knight is a member of the Women’s Basketball Team, the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is majoring in Pre-Nursing and plans to become a travel nurse. She was escorted by Montavis Hobbs, a graduate of Mendenhall High School and a Business Administration major. Knight was presented with a bouquet of flowers by ECCC President Dr. Brent Gregory and the 2024 Homecoming Queen Destiny Williams.

Mikayla Holifield, a graduate of Lake High School – A Pre-Dental major, Holifield is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the Women’s Basketball Team, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Warrior Corps. She serves as sophomore class vice president. She was escorted by Jaylen Torgusson, a graduate of Newton County High School.

Lyric Lay, a graduate of Lake High School – A Pre-Nursing major, Lay is a member of the Lady Warrior Softball Team and Phi Theta Kappa. She serves as sophomore class president. She was escorted by Drew Martin, a graduate of Scott Central High School.

Courtney McDonald, a graduate of Louisville High School – A Kinesiology major, McDonald plans to become a physical therapist. She was escorted by Austin Carter, a graduate of Neshoba Central High School.

Cemorya Tatum, a graduate of Raleigh High School – A Business Management major, Tatum is a member of the ECCC Cheer Squad, Phi Theta Kappa, the Gospel Choir, and the Yearbook Staff. She was escorted by Jayden Brown, a graduate of Lake High School.

Katelyn Simpson, a graduate of East Rankin Academy – A Nursing major, Simpson is a member of the ECCC Cheer Squad, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Baptist Student Union. She plans to become a registered nurse. She was escorted by Caleb Gray, a graduate of Pelahatchie High School.

Maury Ann Walley, a graduate of East Rankin Academy – A Liberal Arts major, Walley is a member of the Baptist Student Union Praise Team, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Warrior Corps, and the Cheerleading Squad. She serves as freshman class vice president. She was escorted by Logan Hitt, a graduate of Newton County Academy.
The presentation concluded with recognition of Knight and the full 2025 Homecoming Court, followed by the Wall O’ Sound Marching Band’s halftime performance.
