The Diamond Warriors finished up thier 2012-2013 campaign with a trip to Itawamba Community College to face the Indians in a best of three series to gain a birth in the MACJC tournament. The Warriors fell behind early in game one with Freshman, Severino Signa on the mound, but the Warriors fought back in the seventh and eighth innings to make the score 8-7. Fred Hampton and Ricky Velez played a big part in staging the comeback effort with their home runs late in the game. Sophomore pitcher, Brock Ward, kept the game in reach for the Warriors by pitching 5.1 innings of relief work. Despite the effort of the Warriors in the seventh and eighth innings, they fell one run short of host ICC in the opening game. Game two proved to be another close game throughout the first 7 and a half innings. The Warriors scored a run in the top of the first inning to help Fernando Gonzalez start off with a lead going into the bottom of the inning. Itawamba answered with a 4 run bottom of the first to regain control of the game. The Diamond Warriors tied the game at 6 runs each in the seventh inning, hoping to build some momentum and take the lead to win the game. Although EC made a strong push, the Indians started off the bottom of the seventh inning with a solo home run to take away the Warrior's momentum. ICC went on the win game two and move on to the MACJC tournament. The Warriors finished their season with an overall record of 25-23, with a fourth place finish in the south division.
