East Central Community College (ECCC) is pleased to announce the availability of financial assistance for qualified students through the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA). This initiative is specifically designed to empower job seekers by providing access to employment, education, training, and support services, enabling them to thrive in today's competitive labor market. Additionally, WIOA aims to bridge the gap between employers and skilled workers, ultimately fostering economic growth in the global arena.

ECCC offers an array of eligible programs for students seeking financial aid under the WIOA framework. These programs include Automotive Technology, Business & Office Systems Technology, Carpentry Technology, Electrical Technology, Precision Manufacturing & Machining Technology, Welding Technology, Associate Degree Nursing, Practical Nursing, and the Licensed Practical Nursing to Associate Degree Nursing Transition Program. By leveraging these funds, students can pursue their educational aspirations in these promising fields.

Residents of Leake, Neshoba, Newton, and Scott counties must apply for funds by Friday, July 14, 2023, while residents of Winston County can contact the WIN Job Center in Louisville at any time.
