The East Central Community College golf team traveled to Southaven Sept. 25-26 to compete in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Event No. 2 of the fall season, hosted by Northwest Mississippi Community College.

East Central finished in 10th place in the competition, posting a team score of 663 over the 36-hole event.

Posting the top score for ECCC was freshman David Barry of West Jones High School, who finished tied for 32nd with a 159. Other Warrior golfers included sophomore Seth McCormick of Newton County Academy, who tied for 41st with a 163; freshman Bailey Threlkeld of Choctawhatchee High School (Shalimar, Fla.), who tied for 47th with a 166; and freshman Noah Parnell of Vancleave High School, who shot a 175 and finished in 56th place.

The Warriors will next compete Oct.1-2 at the Hind Community College Invitational to be held at the Eagle Ridge course in Raymond.
