The East Central Community College men’s basketball team fell 107-78 to No. 9 nationally ranked Jones County Junior College Monday, Feb. 20, in the Ellisville.
Jones jumped out to an early lead that they never surrendered throughout the game.
Jones led ECCC 54-34 at the half.
East Central was led by Jaquan Dotson of Neshoba Central High School with 13 points. Other Warriors in double-digit scoring were Jaylon Bardley of New Hope High School with 12 points, and Shaquille Benson of Hahnville (La.) High School and Cameron Diggs of Blount (Ala.) High School with 10 points each.
The loss drops the Warriors to 13-9 overall and 8-5 in MACJC South Division play.
East Central will host Hinds Community College Thursday, Feb. 23, for “Sophomore Night” in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium in Decatur. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
