A goal by freshman forward Sierra Maness with one minute to play sent the match into overtime before Itawamba Community College scored the golden goal in the second extra period to win a MACJC North Division soccer match against East Central Community College Oct. 5 in Fulton.

The match was tied at the half, before the Lady Indians took a 1-0 lead with 33 minutes to play. Maness, a product of Corinth High School, tied the match at 1-1 just before the end of regulation forcing the overtime. Neither team scored during the first 10-minute extra period, before ICC won the match with a goal in the final minute of the second overtime.

It was East Central’s first North Division loss of the season. ECCC, which remains atop the North Division standings, is now 10-2 overall and 4-1 in division play.

The East Central women’s soccer team will host Northwest Mississippi Community College on Friday, Oct. 7, at 1 p.m. in Decatur.
