The East Central Community College women’s soccer team fell to No. 11 nationally ranked Jones County Junior College 5-0 Friday, Sept. 30, in Ellisville and went on to beat Jacksonville College of Jacksonville, Texas 3-1 Saturday, Oct. 1, in Perkinston.

In the matchup with Jacksonville, the Panthers jumped on the board first before Warrior freshman Sierra Maness of Corinth High School tied up the match with 32 minutes left in the first half.

Off of an assist by Kenzie Jenkins of McLaurin High School, Maness scored her second goal to help ECCC take the 2-1 lead before halftime.

In the second half, Jenkins scored off of an assist by TaNissa McNair of Forest High School for the ECCC win.

The East Central women’s soccer team is 10-1 on the season and will travel to Fulton to face the Itawamba Community College Lady Indians for a division match Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m.
