East Central Community College sophomore catcher Cassie Obman has been named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Softball Player of the Week for April 9-15.
The product of Caledonia High School helped the No. 15 ranked Lady Warriors go 4-0 during the week with sweeps over Hinds Community College and Mississippi Delta Community College.
For the week, Obman hit .467 (7-15) and drove in nine runs and scored five runs for East Central. She had four RBI in the sweep at Hinds and five more in the home sweep of Mississippi Delta. Against Hinds, Obman hit a two-run homer in the second game and then hit a solo shot in game two against Mississippi Delta.
For the season, Obman is hitting. 303 with four home runs and 25 RBI.
