East Central Community College sophomore right-hander Dylan Marsh has been named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Baseball Pitcher of the Week for March 12-18.
The University of Louisiana Monroe signee from Lake Cormorant pitched a one-hit shutout in the Warriors’ 7-0 win over Coahoma Community College on Saturday, March 17. Marsh struck out nine batters in the seven innings of work. He threw only 96 pitches in the win.
Earlier in the week, Marsh struck out six Panola College batters in four innings of work in a 9-6 loss. He gave up four hits and no earned runs in the game.
In his 11 innings of work during the week, he gave up just five hits and struck out 15 batters.
For the year, Marsh is 4-2 with one save in eight appearances. He has 28 strikeouts in 21 and a third innings pitched.
