East Central Community College sophomore guard Roti Ware has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his basketball career at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
The SFA Lumberjacks are members of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference.
The 6-3 guard who prepped at Morton High School was named National Junior College Athletic Association Honorable Mention All-American, NJCAA All-Region 23, and Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges First Team All-State at the conclusion of his sophomore year.
Ware led the Warriors this season with 19.7 points per game. He also led the team in rebounds at six per game and steals with nearly two a contest. He averaged 2.3 assists in the 24 games played.
For the year, Ware hit 113 of 123 free throws for 92 percent.
East Central qualified for both the MACJC State Tournament and the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament at the conclusion of the 2018-19 season.
