These East Central Community College DECA students received various awards during state competition and will advance to international competition scheduled in Orlando in April. Award recipients included (from left) Victoria Ferguson of Decatur, second place in financial accounting, Chris Brown of Carthage, first place in managerial accounting, and Hunter Thrash of Philadelphia, second place in marketing management. ECCC instructors Wanda Hurley, Ruth Gregory and Barry Karrh serve as advisors. DECA is an international association of high school and college students and teachers of marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality, and marketing sales and service.
