The East Central Community College Encore Players will present their annual fall dinner theater at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, November 10-11, in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria on the Decatur campus. This year’s presentation, “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield, is directed by Jessica Price.

During the presentation, three actors will do the seemingly impossible: act through Shakespeare’s entire canon – 37 plays – in 90 minutes by summarizing the canon through football plays, songs and outrageously condensed mash-up titles.

Price said, “‘The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)’ hilariously summarizes all of Shakespeare’s plays, using reenactments and audience participation. It is famous for holding the “self-proclaimed” record for the shortest production of Hamlet at 43 seconds!”

Cast members include Anastasia Crout and Alexandria Crout, both graduates of Lake High School, and Jack Vidals of Newton County High School.

Tickets are $15 and are available by calling the college switchboard at 601-635-6215.

The dinner menu includes salad, roast beef, baked chicken, potato casserole, green beans, roasted vegetables and assorted desserts.
