East Central Community College freshman Tanner Knight is the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Baseball Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 25-March 3, 2019.
The 6-5 right-hander who prepped at Eupora High School was dominant in East Central’s 3-2 win over No. 2 ranked Parkland College March 2 in Vicksburg. He left the mound after five innings with a 3-0 lead, giving up just two hits and striking out 10 while giving up no runs.
Knight is 2-0 on the season. In 13 innings of work, he has struck out 19 batters and given up just one earned run.
