Three East Central Community College golfers have signed national letters of intent to attend four-year colleges and universities next fall. Signing recently on the Decatur campus were, from left, David Barry of West Jones High School in Laurel, who will play golf for Mississippi College in Clinton; Jacob Hamner of Vanderbilt Catholic High School in Houma, La., who will play for William Carey University in Hattiesburg; and Bailey Threlkeld of Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton, Beach, Fla., who signed with William Carey University. Hamner and Threlkeld earned Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Second Team All-State this past season. The ECCC golf team finished in fourth in the 2018 MACJC Conference/State Tournament earlier this month and is participating in the National Junior College Athletic Association District D Championship April 28-29 at Lion Hills Golf Club in Columbus.
