New and transfer students planning to attend 2016 fall classes at East Central Community College can register for classes on the Decatur campus on Thursday, Aug. 11. It is the final registration session before fall classes begin Monday, Aug. 15.

Prior to attending registration, students should have on file in the Office of Admissions a completed ECCC Application for Admission (available online at www.eccc.edu); ACT or COMPASS scores, which will be used for placement in English and mathematics courses; and official high school/college transcripts. Transfer students must have all college transcripts on file before they can register.

Registration will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Students who have completed the admissions process and have been accepted for admission should have received a letter in the mail instructing them how to proceed on the day of registration. Students who have not completed the application process are welcome to attend if they have the ACT or COMPASS score report and transcripts turned in and they will begin the process in the Eddie M. Smith Student Union on the west side of campus.

On the day of registration, students will complete their fall class schedules, have photos made for identification badges and the college yearbook, and apply for a parking decal. Students who will be applying for a parking decal should bring the license tag number of the car they will have on campus in the fall.

Students also will receive information on ECCC’s first-ever orientation course.

Students who have not taken either the ACT or COMPASS test should be prepared to take it at 8:30 a.m. on the day of registration. The cost is $20. To reserve a seat for the COMPASS, contact Mary Boulton at 601-635-6346 or email mboulton@eccc.edu.
