East Central Community College (ECCC) celebrated the achievements of its December 2024 graduating class in a commencement ceremony held at the J. Knox Huff Auditorium in Decatur.
The event, which began at 10 a.m., was opened by Michelle Hernandez, who earned an Associate of Science degree and gave the invocation. A welcome and remarks from ECCC President Dr. Brent Gregory followed her.
This year’s commencement address was delivered by graduate Isabella Renee Wolverton, who also earned an Associate of Science degree.
Executive Vice President David Case presented the candidates for degrees and certificates, and President Gregory officially awarded the honors to the graduates. The ceremony concluded with a benediction by Randarius McLaughlin, an Associate of Arts graduate.
