The East Central Community College men’s soccer team was seconds away from heading into overtime against Jones County Junior College Friday, Sept. 30, in Ellisville, but a goal by freshman Jacob Thomas brought home an East Central win.
The match remained scoreless until 19 seconds to play.
Midfielder Thomas of Northwest Rankin High School scored off an assist by Tomaz McNair of Forest High School for the 1-0 victory.
The East Central men’s soccer team is now 6-6 on the season and will travel to Fulton to face the Itawamba Community College Indians for a division match Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 4 p.m.
