ECCC Offering Numerous Courses During Summer Online, On-Campus Terms

East Central Community College in Decatur is offering a variety of courses this summer both online and on the Decatur campus. Classes are also offered at the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Career-Technical Center.

In addition, the year-round status of the Federal Pell Grant was recently reinstated in 2017, which means students may be eligible for Pell Grants for the summer terms using their current 2018-19 FAFSA. 

The college is offering courses during three terms: Summer Online Term, Summer I (June) Term, and Summer II (July) Term.

Registration for all three terms can be done online at www.eccc.edu, or students can receive assistance by calling 601-635-6205 or emailing go2ec@eccc.edu.

The Summer Online Term begins on Monday, June 3, and ends on Thursday, July 25. The last day to register is Friday, May 31. Among the courses available are Accounting I, Art Appreciation, General Biology I & II with Labs,  Anatomy and Physiology I & II with Labs, Microbiology with Lab, Introduction to Keyboarding, Microsoft Word I, Applied Business Mathematics, Business Accounting, Medical Terminology I & II, Communication Essentials, Introduction to Business, Business Statistics, Legal Environment of Business, Computer Applications, Early Childhood Profession, Child Health Safety & Nutrition, Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, Child Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Human Growth & Development, English Composition I & II, Traditional Grammar, American Literature II, World Literature I, World Geography, Personal & Community Health, Introduction to Kinesiology, Health, P.E. & Recreation; First Aid and CPR, Recreational Leadership, Western Civilization I & II, American History I & II, Web & Programming Concepts, Database & SQL Concepts, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Spanish I & II, Music Appreciation, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Jesus & the Gospels, Introduction to Philosophy I, American National Government, General Psychology, Intro to Sociology, Social Problems, Marriage & Family, Cultural Anthropology, Public Speaking I, and Theater Appreciation.

Among the courses offered on the Decatur campus include Principles of Biology with Lab (non-major), General Biology I & II with Labs, Anatomy & Physiology I & II with Labs, General Chemistry I with Lab, Family Dynamics and Community Involvement, English Composition II,  Basketball Theory, American History II, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Music Appreciation, Physical Science Survey I with Lab, General Physics I with Lab, Introduction to Sociology, Public Speaking I, and Theater Appreciation.

The Summer II (July) Term begins on Monday, July 1, and ends on Thursday, July 25. The last day to register is Tuesday, July 2. Among the courses offered in Decatur include Principles of Biology II with Lab, General Chemistry II with Lab, Creative Arts for Young Children, Intermediate English, English Composition I & II, Fitness & Conditioning Training, Baseball Theory, Fitness & Conditioning Training III, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Physical Science Survey II with Lab, General Physics II with Lab, and Social Problems.

Classes offered at the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Career-Technical Center will include English Composition I during the June session, and English Composition II and College Algebra during the July session.
