East Central Community College inducted 63 students into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society on Monday, September 23 in Huff Auditorium.
The program included an opening invocation from Anna Reed, Theta Xi Chapter Officer, remarks and recognition of chapter officers from Vice President for Student Services and Enrollment Management James Miller, welcoming of new members from PTK Advisors Renee Boggan and Dr. Amanada Walton, followed by closing remarks from Executive Vice President David Case.
PTK is the international honor society of two-year colleges. To qualify for membership in the prestigious honor society, students must have completed at least 12 hours of coursework that may be applied to an associate degree and must have a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.
