She is also a member of the slow pitch and fast pitch softball teams at Newton County. “Landree is a hardnosed defender who looks to win her individual battles in games,” said Joiner. “She has great pace and will be a great addition to our campus, as she has balanced being a multisport athlete at her high school for several years.”

Kelsea Archer, Fullback, Homeschool, Purvis, Hattiesburg Futbol Club
Archer is a fullback who has prepped at the club level with Hattiesburg Futbol Club for Ryan Weir for the past several years. She has proven to be a first choice fullback who loves to get forward and will bring a load of energy to the team from deep and wide areas. “Kelsea is an outside back who will bring heart and desire to the back four,” said Joiner. “She has tons of energy to get up and down the pitch and is a dedicated and hardworking player on, as well as off of, the field. We are excited to add a great fullback and a great person to the team to strengthen areas we lacked in the fall of 2019.”

Madison Diers, Forward, South Jones High School, Ellisville, Gulf Coast United Futbol Club
Diers is a forward who played for Tony Buckley at South Jones High School. At the club level, she spent six seasons at Gulf Coast United Futbol Club in Gulfport under Shane Kowalski. Lorin Greene, Midfielder, Richland High School
Greene is a midfielder who prepped for Trey Banks at Richland High School. She is a tall and athletic central midfielder who excels on set pieces and wins a lot of defensive headers in the middle of the pitch. “Lorin is a player who we expect to see improve every day in training as she becomes comfortable with the speed of play and adjusts her decision making to suit our style of play,” said Joiner. “She will depth to our midfield and has the potential to fight for starting time as a freshman. We are excited to have someone with the ability to score goals off of set pieces and she will bring the same standard in the defensive end of the field.”

Along with being a poacher in front of goal, Hannah is more than capable of finding the extra pass and can provide assists around the goal.”

Daelyn Kell, Midfielder, Ocean Springs High School, Gulf Coast United Futbol Club
Kell is a midfielder who prepped for Neil Scott at Ocean Springs High School and also plays for Shane Kowalski at Gulf Coast United Futbol Club. She is a former player of ECCC’s Joiner who will bring a calm presence in the midfield, an area which needed improvement, for the fall season. “Daelyn has excellent vision and range of passing in the middle of the field,” said Joiner. “She links play well with the forwards, but also knows how to control the tempo of the game. She will bring a significantly high soccer IQ to the team when it comes to positional play and her work defensively will be a key to her getting into the starting lineup.”

Abbie Rutledge, Fullback, Eckington School, Sheffield Wednesday, England
Rutledge is a wingback/fullback who preps at Eckington School in Sheffield, England. While in the United Kingdom, she has featured for the Sheffield Wednesday Ladies U18s, as well as their developmental side. “Abbie is a great pickup for the Lady Warriors in 2019 as a left footed wingback/fullback who will have the pace and desire to get forward, but to also press high up the pitch to win the ball back quickly,” said Joiner. “Her ability to pick a pass and to move players with her vision will be key for the fall of 2019 and we are excited to add a player with her experience to our roster.”

Susie is a tough tackling center back who is strong in the air and she can also slide into a defensive midfielder role, if needed. A great person to be around who drives her teammates physically and mentally every day to be at their best.”

Ameris Taylor, Forward, Ocean Springs High School, Gulf Coast United Futbol Club
Taylor is a forward who prepped for Neil Scott at Ocean Springs High School. She is a former player of ECCC’s Joiner and will join current teammate Daelyn Kell at East Central in fall 2019. Taylor is another multisport athlete who plays soccer, volleyball, and runs track. “Ameris is very versatile in where she can play on the field,” said Joiner. “We recruited her as a fullback, but as her season has progressed at the high school level, we have seen her develop into a goal-scoring threat. Ameris is an elite athlete who will bring an electric amount of athleticism from wide areas and up front with her pace, all while being a gritty player who can do the defensive work around the field.”
