The East Central Community College Workforce Development Center will offer numerous classes during the month of January at various locations throughout the district.

Courses offered in Philadelphia include:

  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)–Begins Monday, Jan. 23, at the Philadelphia/Neshoba County Career & Technical Center and meets from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday for six consecutive weeks. Clinical dates and times will be announced later. Cost is $776 per person and includes everything except the TB skin test. Wendy Cumberland and Niva Alexander will serve as instructors.   • Pharmacy Tech­–Begins Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Integrated Technologies Training Center and meets from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. for 14 consecutive Thursdays. Cost is $275 per person. John Hunter will serve as instructor. Participants must score a Silver level on the WorkKeys test. The certification exam will cost an additional $129.   • Basic Excel­–Begins Monday, Jan. 23, at the Bradford J. Tucker Applied Technology Center and meets from 5 to 8 p.m. for six consecutive Mondays. This is an introductory class designed for students who want to gain the necessary skills to create, edit, format, and print basic Microsoft Excel worksheets. Cost is $50 per person.
