The East Central Community College Workforce Development Center will offer various new classes throughout the district beginning in February Courses and locations are listed below.

DECATUR

Certified Nurse Aide (CNA): Begins Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, and will meet from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday for six consecutive weeks in the Sutphin ADN/Childcare Building. Clinical dates and times will be announced at a later date. Theresa Cole and Niva Alexander will serve as instructors.

The cost is $766 per person and includes everything except the TB Skin Test. Fees must be paid in full by Jan. 30, 2019. Participants must also score at the Silver level on the Workkeys test, which will be scheduled during registration/orientation from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2019, at the Workforce Development Center in Decatur.

Pharmacy Tech: Begins Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, and will meet from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays for approximately 16 to 20 weeks in the Tucker Applied Technology Center on the Decatur campus. John Hunter will serve as instructor.

The cost is $275 per person and includes everything except the $129 for the certification exam fee with the National Pharmacy Certification Testing Board. Fees must be paid in full by Jan. 30, 2019. Participants must also score at the Silver level on the Workkeys test, which will be scheduled during registration/orientation from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2019, at the Workforce Development Center in Decatur.

Pharmacy Tech: Begins Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, and will meet from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays for approximately 16 to 20 weeks in the Carthage Career Advancment Center located at 121 West Main Street. Melissa Smith will serve as instructor.

The cost is $275 per person and includes everything except the $129 for the certification exam fee with the National Pharmacy Certification Testing Board. Fees must be paid in full by Jan. 30, 2019. Participants must also score at the Silver level on the Workkeys test, which will be scheduled during registration/orientation from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2019, at the Carthage Career Advancement Center.

The cost is $600 per person and includes everything except the cost of the Certification Exam, which is $135. Fees must be paid in full by Jan. 30, 2019. Participants must also score at the Silver level on the Workkeys test, which will be scheduled during registration/orientation from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Jan. 22, 2019, at the former U.S. Motors facility located at 1224 North Pecan Ave. in Philadelphia.

Pharmacy Tech: Begins Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, and will meet from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays for 12 consecutive weeks at the Louisville Career Advancement Center located at 860 Church Ave. in Louisville. Alan Krajewski will serve as instructor.

The cost is $275 per person and includes everything except the $129 for the certification exam fee with the National Pharmacy Certification Testing Board. Fees must be paid in full by Jan. 30, 2019. Participants must also score at the Silver level on the Workkeys test. Registration begins Jan. 2.
