After surrendering just one goal on the week, and leading the Warriors to the first win of the year, a 3-0 shutout over William Carey JV, Chase Graham (Vicksburg) was tabbed MACCC Keeper of the Week for Sept. 13-19.
Graham posted seven saves last week with an impressive five against Itawamba. The Warriors dropped the match with ICC in Fulton, 1-0, but Graham's impressive play in the net allowed the Warriors to play to the final whistle as the team fought for an equalizer.
The sophomore picked up an additional two saves against William Carey late in the match. The Warrior offense played tremendous soccer for the first 70 minutes of play and built a 3-0 advantage. The Crusaders began mounting some attacks late in the contest, but Graham was a brick wall and made a pair of great stops to secure the win.
The Warriors are back on the pitch on Friday, Sept. 24 as the team travels to Hinds to take on the Eagles in Raymond. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
