To register for a Holiday Term course:

Current Students 

Who do not owe a balance and do not have any holds on your account: 

Self-register via myEC or email go2ec@eccc.edu with your course(s) selection.

Transient Students

(Currently enrolled elsewhere and going back to that college/university):

1. Apply for admission for Spring 2024 as a transient student (insert link to application for admission)

2. Contact your college/university Records/Registrar and request the following items be sent to ECCC Admissions:

an official transcript, and a transient letter.

3. Payment information will be made available within five (5) days.

New Students

Once admitted for Spring 2024, contact your advisor or email go2ec@eccc.edu with your course(s) selection.

Qualifying ECCC students may be eligible for Spring 2024 financial aid for the 2023 Holiday Term!

2023 Holiday Term Course Schedule

December 11th 
Last day to register and pay for Holiday Term
First day of class (Holiday Term courses appear in Canvas)

Last day for students to withdraw (submit withdrawal in myEC)
Schedule exam appointment (in person for free or remote proctor for a fee)
 
January 3rd and 4th 
Proctored final exam testing by appointment
(in person for free or remote proctor for a fee)
 
January 5th 
Last day of course
Final grades due by 10 a.m.
Students may request official transcripts be sent from ECCC to other schools

Proctored Final Exam
 
A proctored final exam will be required for holiday term courses and administered either in person (free) or via a remote proctor (testing fee). 
 
In-person exams can be scheduled by appointment only to test the afternoon of Wednesday, January 3 or during College operating hours Thursday, January 4 at the ECCC eLearning's Testing Center (Decatur),
or at another ECCC testing site during operating hours.
 
Remote proctoring appointments can be scheduled at any available time on these days through the remote proctor, ProctorU, using a compatible device with microphone and webcam. 
Remote Proctoring Note: There is an examination fee for using the remote proctor (ProctorU) that students are responsible for paying.

Students should confirm the compatibility of their device prior to scheduling and paying for a remote proctoring session. 
 
All exam appointments will be scheduled through Canvas using the SmarterProctoring button which is located in the left menu in the Canvas course. 
 
A current ECCC Student ID or valid driver’s license / identification card will be required for test proctoring.
