The East Central Community College Lady Warriors closed out the 2021 regular season in style on Friday night, May 14, with a 3-2 victory over the Hinds Lady Eagles. With the win, the Lady Warriors finish the year 10-2-2, while the Lady Eagles finish 0-11. The Lady Warriors, the No. 2 seed in the MACCC North Division, will host the Pearl River Lady Wildcats on Tuesday, May 18, for the first round of the MACCC playoffs.

Hinds tied the game at 1-1 early in the second with a quick goal, but Megan Harris (Tooting, United Kingdom) put ECCC on top, 2-1, with a brilliant header after two previous shots ricocheted off the crossbar. After another Lady Eagle score, Daelyn Kell (Ocean Springs) quickly followed with a goal to push the ECCC lead to 3-2.
