The Warriors of East Central fell to 0-3-1 last night, September 7, after a tough cross-divisional loss to the No. 13 Pearl River Wildcats in Poplarville.

The Wildcats were able to score early on a freekick and quickly followed with another goal. The hot start put PRCC on top, 2-0, in the opening minutes.

The Warriors battled throughout the match and produced some strong offensive attacks, but none were able to find the back of the net as PRCC grew the lead to 5-0 at the half.

The second half proved much of the same as the Warriors attempted to capitalize on opportunities in front of the goal, but luck was not on ECCC's side. In the second, the Wildcats grew their advantage to 8-0, a score that would hold until the final buzzer.

ECCC turns its attention to division play as the Northwest Mississippi Rangers travel to Decatur on Friday, Sept. 10. The match is set to kickoff at 7 p.m. and will be played on the turf at Bailey Stadium. Fans that cannot attend the match can watch the action live at www.eccclive.com/gold
