Several Warriors and Lady Warriors recently signed to continue their athletic and academic careers after their time at ECCC.

Brendaisha Garrett, an ECCC soccer player signed with the Mississippi University for Women, while Gracey Baucom, an ECCC softball player, will be taking her talent to Belhaven University. A pair of ECCC tennis players will be moving on in Chris Lawrance, going to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and Isaac Santianto who inked with Alcorn State.  Four Warrior baseball players are advancing to the four-year level. Jesse Boydstun is signing with Louisiana Tech University, Amani Larry with the University of New Orleans, Eli Harrison with the University of West Alabama, and Walker Johnson with the University of South Alabama.

These student-athletes continue ECCC's excellent tradition of producing talented athletes that can not only compete well in the MACCC but have the ability to further their playing careers at the next level. This athletic success pairs with the college's efforts of preparing all students to effectively move on to four-year colleges and universities to put themselves in the best possible position in life.

Brendaisha Garrett, a sophomore from Gautier, is an athletic forward on the ECCC soccer team that has seen action in 14 matches and started in 10 for the Lady Warriors. In her career at ECCC, she has scored three goals and posted five assists.

Gracey Baucom, a sophomore pitcher from Purvis, was a leading member of the Lady Warriors softball pitching staff this season as she struck out 59 batters and posted an ERA of 4.89 over 91.2 innings pitched.

Chris Lawrance, a sophomore from York, Australia has been a stellar player on the ECCC tennis roster for three years. He capped off the 2021 season as a member of the No. 2 doubles team in the MACCC and the No. 1 singles player.

Isaac Santitto, a sophomore from Innisfail, Australia, has been a key member of the Warrior tennis team for three years. He closed out the year with No. 2 doubles All-MACCC honors with his teammate, Lawrance.

Jesse Boydstun, an athletic outfielder from Louisville, has a .349 batting average with 54 RBIs and four homers thus far in his career at ECCC.

Amani Larry, a sophomore shortstop from Bossier City, La., is leading the 2021 Warriors who have over 50 at-bats with a blistering .418 batting average. On his career, he is batting .405 and has driven in 51 runs with four home runs.

Eli Harrison, a sophomore baseball player from Little Rock, has had a strong career at the plate for the Warriors as he has driven 42 runs and only posted nine strikeouts through 108 at-bats this season.

Walker Johnson, a Mantee native and member of the ECCC pitching staff, has been lights out for the Warriors on the mound his entire career, but specifically in 2021 as he has fanned 74 batters through 43.1 innings pitched with a 2.08 ERA.
