The Warriors and Indians went toe-to-toe in Decatur on Friday afternoon, Oct. 15, but ICC hung on to grab a 2-0 win over the Warriors. With the loss, the Warriors fall to 2-10-1 overall on the year and to 1-4 in North Division play. ICC improves to 8-4 overall and to 5-1 in the division.

The Indians were on the board early in the contest as ICC charged down the right part of the field and found the back of the net. That lead grew to 2-0 just five minutes later as a foul in the box set up a penalty kick. Cameron West knocked in the PK for the Indians. The Warriors had some scoring opportunities later in the frame with some set-piece looks on a corner and freekick from about 30-yards out, but neither found the goal. At the half, the Indians led, 2-0.

The second half was a defensive stalemate as both teams battled it out at midfield for the majority of the frame.

ECCC is on the road next week as the Warriors travel to Holmes to take on the Bulldogs on the Ridgeland campus. The match is scheduled for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
