Game One vs Calhoun Community College | W, 8-2

The Lady Warriors overcame an early 2-0 deficit in the first game of the day as the Calhoun Lady Warhawks, playing as the home team, took advantage of some early walks in the bottom of the first.

ECCC responded in the top of the third with an RBI double from Emily McDonald that scored Mattie Hodge. Jayce Currie followed with an RBI single just before Meadow Villarripped an RBI double to put ECCC on top, 3-2.

McDonald kept her hot bat going in the fourth with another RBI double that plated another two Lady Warrior runs. An error in the fifth pushed another ECCC run across the plate. Villar added another run with a towering solo homer to left to lead off the seventh. An error later in the frame hand the Lady Warriors the last run of the contest.

Rae Rae Evans led the Lady Warriors to victory from the circle as she checked in in the first inning and threw seven innings. She allowed one hit, surrendered zero runs, and struck out three. Caroline Jackson got the start and gave up two runs on one hit.
