The East Central Community College Warriors fell 7-2 to the Jones College Bobcats on Tuesday afternoon, February 8. The loss dropped the Warriors to just 1-1 on the year after numerous matches were canceled due to weather.
Dominik Simunovic (Zagreb, Croatia) was the only Warrior to pick up two victories on the day as he won at No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles.
"Dominik played very well for us today," said ECCC head coach Jay Pacelli. "We had a terrific victory at No. 1 doubles, but we look to improve in our upcoming matches against Holmes and Gulf Coast."
The Warriors duked it out with the Bobcats in some hard-hitting tennis but ultimately came up short.
