Four Lady Warrior sophomore soccer players earned All-MACCC honors for their stellar play on the pitch this season. The Lady Warriors finished the year 9-5 overall and 3-5 in district play. ECCC was nationally ranked throughout the season and climbed as high as No. 2, a program record, early in the season.

First-Team North Division honors go to Loren Winters and Sasha Clare as defenders, while Nicole O'Neill and Gabby Falla picked up Second-Team recognition as midfielders.

The honors just add more prestige to this class of Lady Warriors that have built a foundation of excellence and success to raise this program to a nationally recognized team.

"I'm delighted to have some of our sophomores recognized for their performance this season," said ECCC Lady Warrior head coach Ryan Joiner. "All of these ladies are very deserving and get to leave here with an opportunity to continue their playing careers, recognitions such as these help raise that notoriety. Their commitment to our program over the years and this season has just been excellent."

Winters started and saw action in all 14 games this season. As a defender, Winters led the Lady Warriors' defense throughout the season as she provided solid play and leadership on the backline.

Clare also played and started in all 14 matches of 2021 and was second on the team in goals scored with seven on the year, three of which proved to be game-winning goals. Despite bing listed as a defender, Clare saw action in all areas of play as she helped lead ECCC in multiple positions.

O'Neill was a prolific midfielder for ECCC this season as she knocked in four goals, and a team-high four assists.

Falla, a team captain, was also critical to the Lady Warriors midfield game as she poured in two goals and posted a second-best three assists on the team.

Along with these honorees, the Lady Warriors look to have numerous other student-athletes continue their playing careers at four-year programs, and information about players moving on will be released in the coming months.
