The WIOA-supported Out-of-School Youth Program is hosting several information sessions in November on the East Central Community College campus in Decatur.

The Out-of-School Youth Program is designed to provide those who meet eligibility requirements with occupational skills training, paid internships, job search assistance, resume preparation, and interview skills.

All services offered through this program are free to participants. WIOA is the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

Eligibility requirements to participate in the program include being a resident of Newton County who is 16 to 24 years old, low income, and currently not attending any school (public, private, homeschool, college, or technical training).

The come-and-go information sessions are from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on November 15, 16, and 17 in ECCC’s Career & Technical Education Annex on the Decatur campus.
