East Central Community College is proud to announce the successful completion of a $1.8 million comprehensive upgrade to the heating and cooling system at Newton Hall. This prominent two-story classroom building, which has been a cornerstone of campus since its construction in 1975, underwent substantial, behind-the-scenes renovations over the summer.

Newton Hall is home to several academic departments, including English, Social Science, History, Education, and Psychology. Additionally, it hosts over 15 faculty offices and support facilities. While the building's original heating and cooling system had been diligently maintained by the college's physical plant staff, the natural aging of its components necessitated a partnership with the Path Company for a full-scale renovation.

The renovation project, which spanned several weeks and was funded through Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds, was completed in early August, just in time for the start of the fall semester. The recalibrated system now ensures an optimal and comfortable learning environment for all students, faculty, and staff.

This endeavor is a testament to East Central Community College's commitment to its With You in Mind philosophy, which prioritizes the creation and maintenance of safe and comfortable learning environments for students across all academic disciplines.
