Registration is now open for Certified Nursing Assistant and Pharmacy Tech classes offered by East Central Community College at its locations on the main campus in Decatur, and in Carthage, Louisville, and Philadelphia.
Certified Nursing Assistant, or CNA, classes will be offered four times on the main campus in Decatur. Registration dates for the class beginning Aug. 1 are June 13-July 8. Registration for the class beginning Sept. 26 are Aug. 8-Sept. 2. Registration for the class beginning Jan. 30, 2023, are Oct. 31-Jan. 6. Registration for the class beginning April 3, 2023, are Feb. 13-March 10.
Classes will meet from 4-8 p.m. four nights a week, Monday-Thursday, for six consecutive weeks. Classes will be held in the Sutphin Nursing Building.
CNA classes will be offered four times in Louisville at the Louisville Career Advancement Center, 1475 South Church Ave. Registration dates for the class beginning July 25 are June 13-July 8. Registration for the class beginning Sept. 26 are Aug. 8-Sept. 2. Registration for the class beginning Jan. 30, 2023, are Oct. 31-Jan. 6. Registration for the class beginning April 3, 2023, are Feb. 13-March 10.

CNA classes will be offered four times in Philadelphia at the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Career-Technical Center, 900 Valley View Dr. Registration dates for the class beginning Aug. 1 are June 13-July 8. Registration for the class beginning Sept. 26 are Aug. 8-Sept. 2. Registration for the class beginning Jan. 30, 2023, are Oct. 31-Jan. 6. Registration for the class beginning April 3, 2023, are Feb. 13-March 10.

The cost for each CNA class is $766, with a required $50 fee for a background check prior to class start date. The class requires a Silver on the Workkeys test or 16 or higher on the ACT. Workkeys test will be scheduled once the registration form is received. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
Pharmacy Tech classes will be offered twice in Carthage at the Carthage Career Advancement Center, 121 W. Main St. Registration dates for the class beginning Aug. 9 are June 13-July 8. Registration for the class beginning Jan. 31, 2023, are Nov. 28-Jan. 6.
Classes will meet from 5:30-9:30 p.m. every Tuesday for six weeks.
The cost for each Pharmacy Tech class is $275 and must be paid in full prior to class start date. There is an additional $129 Certification Exam fee with the National Pharmacy Certification Testing Board. The class requires a Silver on the Workkeys test or 16 or higher on the ACT. Workkeys test will be scheduled once the registration form is received. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
