Instructor of the Year Nomination
East Central Community College's Alumni Association honors one currently employed, full-time instructor each year with the Instructor of the Year award. Eligible faculty members must have been employed in a full-time capacity for at least three years at ECCC.
Nomination(s) for the 2024-25 Instructor of the Year Award must be submitted by currently enrolled students or currently employed faculty, staff, or administrators at ECCC to the Alumni Association by March 31, 2025, at midnight. Nominations should be made using this form.
Posthumous nominations are not eligible for submission. Prior winners of the Instructor of the Year award will not be eligible to receive the award again for a period of five years.
Selection for the honor is based on the following criteria:
- Instructional excellence
- Significant contributions to the College and the community (i.e., student organization sponsorship, volunteer work, civic engagement, etc.)
- Respect for colleagues and students
- Participation in professional development opportunities
- Demonstrated leadership ability
A committee appointed by the Executive Vice President, Vice President for External Relations, and Alumni Director will review all nominations and make the final selection.
