The East Central Community College golf team finished in seventh place in the MACCC opener over the weekend. The event marked the return to conference play for Warrior golf after taking a two-year break when the program was suspended in 2018.
The tournament was hosted by Hinds Community College and played at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Raymond.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors picked up their first MACCC North Division victory on Friday night, Sept. 24, as the team defeated the Hinds Lady Eagles, 3-0, in Raymond. The win moves the Lady Warriors to 5-3, 1-3 on the year.

The Warriors of East Central Community College fell to 1-6-1, 0-3 on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 21, as the team lost a tight match with the Holmes Bulldogs, 1-0.

After surrendering just one goal on the week, and leading the Warriors to the first win of the year, a 3-0 shutout over William Carey JV, Chase Graham (Vicksburg) was tabbed MACCC Keeper of the Week for Sept. 13-19.

A big start for the No. 10 Jones College Bobcats lifted them over the East Central Community College Warriors on Thursday night, Sept. 16, in ECCC's 2021 home opener, 33-13. The Warriors showed a tremendous amount of grit as they battled rainy weather and scored two late touchdowns. The loss drops ECCC to 0-3 on the year and to 0-1 in MACCC South Division play. Jones improves to 3-0, 1-0.

The Warrior offense was firing on all cylinders on Friday afternoon, Sept. 17, as East Central Community College's men's soccer team defeated William Carey University's JV team, 3-0. The non-division victory moves ECCC to 1-5-1, 0-2, on the year, and gives the Warriors some momentum heading into a big MACCC North Division match against Holmes this Tuesday.

The annual ECCC Woods and White Tennis Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Woods and Whites is a fun, social doubles tournament played like Wimbledon in the old days. Players must wear white clothing (minimum white shirt/T-shirt), play with white tennis balls, and hit with wood racquets, which are provided.
The event is $30 per player and is payable on day of the tournament.
