East Central Baseball Gets First Sweep of Season at Coastal Alabama-South

Rain continues to play havoc on the home baseball schedule for East Central Community College, but the Warriors found Stanley James Baseball Park on the campus of Coastal Alabama-South to their liking in picking up their first sweep of the season Tuesday, March 12, in Bay Minette, Ala.
East Central beat the Coastal Alabama-South Sun Chiefs 8-6 in the nine-inning opener and then followed that with an 11-9 seven-inning win in game two.

Austin Blaine of Louisville and Rebekah Scitzs of Collinsville were selected Mr. and Miss East Central Community College for the 2018-19 school year by a recent vote of the student body.

East Central Community College sophomore nursing major Rebekah Scitzs of Collinsville has been named a 2019 Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar and will receive a $1,500 scholarship.
