Registration is currently open at East Central Community College in Decatur for Certified Nurse Assistant and Pharmacy Technician classes being offered by the college’s Workforce Development Center.

Certified Nursing Assistant begins Monday, Feb. 22, and registration is open through Feb. 12 at my.eccc.edu/ICS/Workforce. Classes will be held in a Hybrid Format and will meet two in-person days in Decatur and two virtual days per week. The cost is $766. Teresa Cole and Niva Alexander will serve as instructors. Funding may be available for residents of Leake, Neshoba, Newton and Scott counties. A Silver WorkKeys is required and WorkKeys testing may be scheduled upon registration. Students must have a computer and strong internet access.

Pharmacy Technician begins Tuesday, Feb. 23, and students can register at my.eccc.edu/ICS/Workforce. Classes will meet from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on consecutive Tuesdays for approximately 16 weeks. Classes will be held virtually using Zoom. Melissa Smith will serve as instructor. The cost is $275 and must be paid in full by Feb. 15. The price includes everything except the $129 Certification Exam Fee with the National Pharmacy Certification Testing Board. Funding may be available through the WIN Job Center. A Silver WorkKeys is required and WorkKeys testing may be scheduled upon registration. Students must have a computer and strong internet access.
