ECCC To Start Volleyball in Fall 2025

East Central Community College is excited to launch a new NJCAA-sanctioned athletic team in women's volleyball. The team is scheduled to take the court for its inaugural season in the fall of 2025, bringing the total number of sports offered by ECCC to 13.
Heston Harrison Finds Career Through ECCC WIOA Youth Program
Twenty-two-year-old Heston Harrison was a successful student who graduated from both high school and college with honors. But like many others his age, he was still unsure of his long-term career goals and where his interests lay.
While applying for various jobs post-graduation, Harrison was referred by a counselor to South Mississippi Planning and Development District's (SMPDD) WIOA Youth program at East Central Community College.

Junior Preview Days Postponed to Fall '24
Due to the risk of severe weather throughout the area, our Junior Preview Days, originally scheduled for April 9 and April 10, 2024, are being rescheduled to Fall 2024 in conjunction with our first home football game. Additional details will be made available closer to that date.
East Central Officially Opens New Tennis Facility

East Central Community College in Decatur, Mississippi, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, March 22, to officially open a multipurpose pavilion for the college's tennis teams. The Comans-Hunter Pavilion provides locker rooms, storage, and on-site bathrooms.

ECCC Encore Players to Present ‘Nickelodeon the SpongeBob Musical’ March 21-24

The East Central Community College Encore Players will present "Nickelodeon the SpongeBob Musical” at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, March 21 - 23, and at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m.
