It’s not too late to register for classes at East Central Community College in Decatur for the Spring 2017 Intensive Term II on-campus and online courses.
The last day to register for on-campus courses in the Spring 2017 Intensive Term II is Thursday, March 2. Classes begin on Wednesday, March 1, and end May 4.
Classes offered include Introduction to Architectural Design I, 3D Modeling, Intermediate English, English Composition I, College Algebra, Calculus II, and Public Speaking.

The East Central Community College men’s basketball team clinched an MACJC State Tournament berth with an 87-80 win over Pearl River Community College Thursday, Feb. 16, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium in Decatur.

The East Central Community College women’s basketball team defeated the Pearl River Community College Lady Wildcats 78-69 Thursday, Feb. 16, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the Decatur campus.

The No. 12 East Central Community College Lady Warrior softball team picked up another sweep Wednesday, Feb. 16, this time over East Mississippi Community College in Scooba.

The East Central Community College men’s and women’s tennis teams continued their journey on the road, this time in Wesson where the No. 22 ranked Warrior men’s team knocked off the No. 17 Copiah-Lincoln Wolves in a tight 5-4 match Wednesday, Feb. 15.
It was the Warriors third win this year against a top 25 opponent.
The East Central women fell to the Lady Wolves 7-2.
The ECCC men are now 3-1 on the season, while the women are 1-3.

East Central Community College will hold an Open House for students interested in its MI-BEST program beginning at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 6.
The event will be held in the Tucker Applied Technology Center on the Decatur campus.
According to Erin Tramill, navigator for ECCC’s MI-BEST, the open house is an opportunity for students who are interested in enrolling in the program for fall 2017 to learn more about MI-BEST, the career opportunities and other benefits of the program, and the upcoming test/interview dates.

East Central Community College in Decatur will host a presentation by artist Sarah Teasley at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, in the Vickers Fine Arts Center on the Decatur campus. The presentation is part of the college’s 2017 Cultural Arts Series.
Teasley received her BFA from Delta State University and her MFA from the University of Mississippi. In addition to a formal education, she worked as an Artist in Residence for Burns Pottery in Natchez and completed two internships with sculptor Beth Cavener.
