The East Central Community College Warrior baseball team remained undefeated on Friday, February 11, with a pair of wins over Mississippi Delta. The wins mark the middle of an eight-game homestand to open the 2022 season for the Warriors.

East Central Community College baseball standouts Clayton Cook (Mize) and Gates Pee (Clinton) have been tabbed as JBB All-American Honorable Mention for their strong seasons with the Warriors. JBB is a nationally renowned community and junior college baseball media outlet that covers NJCAA DI, DII, and DIII baseball as well as the CCCAA and NWAC.

The Warriors of East Central Community College gave it their all in Poplarville on Saturday, but fell to the LSU Eunice Bengals, 7-5, in the NJCAA Region XXIII championship game. The Warriors officially end the season 30-17 overall and as the NJCAA Region XXIII runners up, the highest program finish since 2016.
