The East Central Community College golf team had a great outing in the second MACCC event of the year with a T-5th finish in the Gulf Region Preview hosted by Copiah-Lincoln at Beau Pre' Country Club in Natchez September 29-30.
The event, the second of the year for the Warriors, was played on the par-72 course at 6,993 yards. The Warriors finished the opening round in second to last place with a 338 team total, before bouncing back in round two with a stellar 316, the third lowest team total of the day, to move the team up four spots at 654.

East Central Community College defensive back Jaylin Thompson, a sophomore from Vicksburg, had a career night against the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears Sept. 29 as he wrapped up six tackles and hauled in two interceptions. The sophomore returned one pick 56-yards for a score late in the third quarter.

The East Central Community College Warriors fell to the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears, 24-20, on Thursday, Sept. 29, in yet another close MACCC matchup. With the loss, ECCC moved to 0-5, 0-3 on the year, while Southwest improved to 2-3, 1-2.

East Central Community College soccer forward Evan Reape (Ballina, Ireland) had a career night in ECCC's 4-0 win over Northwest Sept. 20. Reape netted all four Warrior goals, with two of the scores coming in the first 10 minutes of the contest, to earn Warrior of the Week honors.

East Central Community College's Enrollment Management Division invites all area high school students to the "Be Our Guest" football game Thursday, September 29. It will also be "Black Out Bailey" as the Warriors host MACCC South Division rival Southwest Bears.

The Warriors of East Central Community College fell to the No.5 Jones College Bobcats 17-14 on Thursday night, Sept. 22, in Ellisville in a hard-fought contest. The loss drops the Warriors to 0-4, 0-2 on the year while the Bobcats improved to 4-0, 2-0.
